2 dead and 2 injured in 3 separate overnight incidents in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two people were killed and two others were injured in three separate overnight incidents in Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

The first incident happened Friday around 7:30 p.m. on Osteen Street, near Lambing Road, in the Jacksonville Heights neighborhood.

According to JSO, officers found a woman and a man dead inside a home.

The police will not say how the victims died.

The relationships of those involved are unknown, according to JSO.

The second incident was a shooting that occurred on Herlong Road, near Lindsey Road, in the Normandy Manor neighborhood around 9 p.m.

According to police, before officers arrived, the man who was shot drove himself to a local hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Investigation revealed that the man was walking in the area when he was shot by an unknown suspect.

Police said it appears the man was targeted and believe this was an isolated incident.

The third incident happened around 3 a.m. Saturday on Harts Road in Jacksonville’s Northside.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 20s suffering from a single gunshot wound. He was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to JSO.

Initial investigation revealed that several people arrived on the scene and shot several times in the man’s direction, police said.

Police said no arrests have been made in any of the three incidents.
