PL LIVE: Everton sees goal disallowed against Fulham after exciting matches at 3 p.m.

Five Premier League matches are scheduled for Saturday.

Keep coming back for updates.

Everton hosts Fulham

Sean Dyche’s side played host to Fulham to end Saturday’s truncated football but it was Fulham who enjoyed the best of the opening stages, with Raul Jimenez testing Jordan Pickford with an effort.

As the home crowd grew restless, Fulham pressed on, with Adama Traore and Emile Smith Rowe both squandering glorious chances to fire Marco Silva’s side into the lead.

Everton found the net in their first attempt when Dominic Calvert-Lewin bundled in a loose ball, before VAR ruled it out for offside and curtailed the celebration.

But it sparked Everton into life, with the Toffees forcing successive corners to put pressure on Marco Silva’s side.

Haaland sinks saints

A single goal from Erling Haaland saw Manchester City work harder than many expected in a narrow 1-0 win over struggling Southampton at home.

That winner came early when Haaland steered back across goal to curl in Matheus Nunes’ throw from the left.

However, City were almost caught cold on the stroke of half-time when Cameron Archer was sent through on goal after beating City’s high line, but his shot rattled the crossbar.

Shortly after half-time, Haaland missed a glorious chance for his second when Sávinho picked him out at the back post, but from two yards out he incredibly turned his effort wide of the post before heading a header off the line.

City did not have to pay for those misses as they returned to the top of the table, while winless Saints remained in 19th place.

Villa frustrated by death

Scorers: Barkley 76′; Evans 90+6′

Aston Villa conceded an equalizer deep into stoppage time as they had to settle for a frustrating point in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth.

The hosts thought they had taken the lead after half an hour but a razor-sharp VAR check determined the ball had left the field of play before John McGinn netted his second goal in as many games.

They had to wait a long time before the opener finally arrived, but on 76 minutes it came via substitute Ross Barkley as he reacted in a flash to Leon Bailey’s headbutt and squeezed the ball past Mark Travers, who had previously made a number of inspired saves. to keep the Villans out.

But with just 16 seconds left on the clock, Bournemouth built on the win at Arsenal when Evanilson fired a header into the corner to save some of the spoils.

Wolves stun Brighton with late rally

Scorers: Welbeck 45′, Ferguson 86′; Aït-Nouri 88′, Cunha 90+3′

Evan Ferguson struck late for what proved to be a crucial insurance goal as Brighton beat cellar boys Wolves 2-1 to continue their excellent start under Fabian Hürzeler.

Wolves fought back from two goals down with two minutes remaining to clear the foot of the table by salvaging a point in a 2-2 draw against Brighton.

This south coast match looked set to be a scoreless stalemate heading into the break, but a disastrous José Sá clearance gave Brighton possession deep in the opposition’s territory and they ruthlessly punished the mistake as Danny Welbeck continued his purple mark through the goalkeeper to beat.

The match looked set to go no further than the visitors, who were excellent in the second half, until Ferguson ended his 33-game wait for a Premier League goal in the final four minutes with a brutal finish that seemingly clinched the points.

But Rayan Aït-Nouri’s third goal in four games set up a nerve-wracking finale and Brighton could not hold on as Wolves claimed a point thanks to Matheus Cunha’s deflected, drilled strike which came off the underside of the crossbar.

Gary O’Neil’s men slide off the foot of the table with their second point of the season as the Seagulls rise above Nottingham Forest to fifth.

Brentford edge Ipswich in a classic

Scorers: Wissa 44, Clarke OG 45+1′, Mbeumo (PEN) 51′, 90+6′; Szmodics 28′, Hirst 31′, Delap 86′

Bryan Mbeumo scored a lucky winner as Brentford came from 2-0 down at home to 10-man Ipswich Town to record a stunning 4-3 victory.

Although it is Brentford who have batted first so often in the league this season, Ipswich did so this time for a surprise lead when Sammie Szmodics was given far too much space in a central area to control the angle of the net.

Three minutes later his side extended their lead through George Hirst as he was once again given too much space and the Bees were exposed centrally, allowing the former Leicester City man to deftly round the onrushing goalkeeper.

But in two moments of madness on the stroke of half-time, Kieran McKenna’s side undid all their hard work and incredibly trudged to the dressing room level after first allowing the hosts to cut them open on the left for Yoane Wissa to could return home. Another of his efforts was sent into his own net moments later by Harry Clarke.

Clarke’s afternoon deteriorated further after the restart when, following a VAR check, it was determined that he had fouled Keane Lewis-Potter in the area and from the resulting penalty Bryan Mbeumo put Brentford ahead before Clarke’s day culminated in a red card with 20 minutes to go.

But the Tractor Boys refused to settle for their fate and looked to salvage a point with 10 men through Liam Delap’s leveler in the 86th minute – only for an Mbeumo cross 10 minutes later to elude everyone and sneak to victory, although even they had to survive a late scare when Delap crashed into the woodwork after 98 minutes!
