After a six-month contract break, Haason Reddick is officially set to make his debut for the New York Jets on Sunday.

Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha, Reddick’s agents, told ESPN Adam Schefter the two-time Pro Bowler signed his reworked contract with the Jets on Saturday and will make his debut tomorrow against the New England Patriots.

Reddick ended his robbery Sunday when told by his officers Schefter he agreed to a modified contract with the Jets.

Rosenhaus said at the time that they would “continue to work on a long-term extension with the Jets” now that this part of the negotiations is over.

The Jets originally acquired Reddick in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles on April 1. He was looking for a long-term contract with the Eagles before the deal and he never asked for a trade, while also understanding things from a business perspective.

Even after the trade with the Jets, Reddick never showed up for offseason activities — including organized team activities, mandatory minicamp, training camp and preseason — while he sought a new contract.

from Reddick revised agreement pays him the remaining $8.7 million base salary from his original contract, plus the opportunity for an additional $5.3 million in performance incentives.

Schefter noted that the Jets agreed to waive more than $12 million in fines that Reddick accrued for all of his missed time, including seven game checks from the regular-season games he did not play.

The Jets’ pass rush has been inconsistent so far this season. They are shared sixth in the NFL with 21 sacks, but their pass-rush winning percentage of 36 percent ranks 24th.

Will McDonald IV has been the one consistent source of pressure for New York’s defense. He already has eight sacks in his career and is counting shared seventh in the league with seven tackles for loss.

Reddick will give the Jets another high-level pass rusher off the edge. He posted at least 11 sacks in each of the previous four seasons.

The Patriots are a great team for a defensive lineman getting his feet wet after a long layoff. They have given up the second-most sacks (25) in the NFL. Even though the offense has played better with Drake Maye at quarterback, he has still been sacked six times in his first two starts.

New York is looking to end its four-game losing streak and build positive momentum. This is a good week to do so, as the Jets are already coming off a 24-3 win over the Patriots in Week 3, when their offense put up a season-high 400 yards.
