Leverett crews respond to a fully involved vehicle fire

LEVERETT, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) – Crews in Leverett responded to a car fire Friday evening.

According to the Leverett Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched to the scene of Cushman Road around 9:29 p.m. for reports of a fully involved vehicle fire.

When crews arrived, they were able to quickly extinguish the fire with limited expansion into the grass.

Officials also said that due to the proximity of the forest and the drought, they also received assistance from the Amherst Fire Department.

No reported injuries.
