New Sancarluccio theater announces artistic season 2024-2025

Just enough time to reflect on the half century of life on his shoulders and the great characters who graced the stage, and here the New Theater Sancarluccio announces the themes and titles of the 2024-2025 artistic season. They were presented with a program full of quality shows and artists that could satisfy all types of audiences and age groups. With this property, the prestigious hall, born in the first Liberty building in Naples on Via San Pasquale a Chiaia, prepares for an artistic year worth seeing, thanks to the work of artistic director Giuliana Tabacchini. It starts on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October with Gino Fastidio in ‘Ètuttountuttuno’, a one-man show in which the artist retells the most popular television sketches and takes the audience into his extravagant universe. On November 3, it’s Manuela Zero’s turn with ‘Brotti! E non ridere che sei come loro’. A work conceived, written and composed by Manuela Zero and Davide Santi, in which the stories of eight people are translated into music, words and images with a new, ‘childlike’ and cinematic language. From November 8 to 10, 2024 it will be the turn of Nunzia Schiano, main character of ‘Mater Purgatorii’ conducted by Francesco Mucci and music by Niko Mucci. An intense read with a strong dramatic impact on the profound value of motherhood. On November 15 it is the turn of ‘The Cruelest Man in the World’ with friendly concession by Davide Sacco and direction by Vincenzo Vecchione. A musical drama by Antonio De Rosa, brought to the stage by Vincenzo Vecchione and Graziano Purgante. On November 16 and 17 it is the turn of ‘Salomè’ by Oscar Wilde, adapted and directed by Riccardo Citro and music by Ennio De Gregorio with Maria Teresa Iannone, Rosario D’Angelo, Francesca Ciardiello and Roberta Astuti. On November 22 there is ‘Villaperbene’, a Showrprise by Villaperbene, a mix of intrusions, music, characters, sketches and monologues. On November 23 and 24, Antimo Casertano arrives at Nuovo Sancarluccio with ‘I cinque figli’, a fairy tale for an actor-father with music by Gianluca Pompilio, starting from ‘Lo Cunto de li cunti’ by Giambattista Basile. On November 30, Roberta Frascati presents her drama ‘Bar’ directed by Franco Nappi and Riccardo Pisani. From December 6 to 8, Peppe Lanzetta will bring his work ‘I Nuovi Mostri’ to the stage, a surreal and comic political fantasy journey in the transformation of our society from Caserta to the White House, from Iran to Foggia. From December 26 to January 1, 2025, Salvatore Gisonna and Peppe Laurato are the creators and authors of ‘L’amico dei sogni’, a text about friendship directed by Angelo Belgiovine. On January 10, 2025, ‘L’uomo dal fiore in bocca’, Pirandello’s emblematic text with Adriano Fiorillo, interpreter and director, and Giulia Piscitelli, is on the program. On January 11 and 12, Alessandro Bolide will present ‘Ma che cè ne fotte 3.0 Revolution’, a work written and directed by him with text accompaniment by Gino Aveta, with Stefano Siviero and the kind participation of Mario Maglione. On January 18 and 19, Carmen Di Marzo presents ‘Il cuore inverso’, a monologue by Nando Vitali conducted by Paolo Vanacore and original music by Alessandro Panatteri. From January 23 to February 2, Gigliola De Feo will be on stage with ‘Volevo essere Lady Oscar’. A text written and directed by De Feo and Ersilia Saffiotti with the participation of Savio Arato. On February 8 and 9, Sarah Falanga will star in ‘Diverse’, written and directed by Antonio Mocciola with the participation of Vincenzo Vecchione. A journey to the 900s that brings to light the events of Lili Ilse Elvener, Grazia Deledda and Joan Crawford. From February 14 to 16, Adriano Falivene, actor and director, presents ‘Aspettando Totò’, freely inspired by Beckett’s Waiting for Godot with Davide Borrelli. From February 21 to 23, Enza Alfano presents, in the name of imagination, her work ‘Nella mia stanza’. On February 27, Stefano Reali will present his book ‘Shakespeare Aenigma’, the first incarnation of John Florio. From February 28 to March 2, ‘William non era Shakespeare’ by and with Roberto Russo and lectures and direction by Agostino Chiummariello will be on stage. A performance based on the studies of Saul Gerevini on the so-called ‘Shakespearean question’. From March 13 to 16, Lorenzo Marone presents ‘Figli della balena’, a monologue by a hypochondriac. A work indicated for the treatment of panic attack disorder, phobias, generalized anxiety, stress, morbid curiosity, urgent need for answers, hypochondria, imbalance. On March 22 and 23, Serafino Iorli presents ‘Riesumata’ led by Mariano Lamberti. From April 4 to 6, Titti Nuzzolese and Roberta Misticone will be the protagonists of ‘Faccere’ by Massimo Andrei, conducted by Peppe Miale and music by Mariano Bellopede. To complete the season of the New Theater Sancarluccio, from April 11 to 13 there will be Myriam Lattanzio with ‘Donne e Madonne – Viaggio nella musica popolare tra Madonne, donne e amore’ and also the shows ‘Tutto Shakespeare minuto per minuto’ by Andrea Cioffi and ‘Idillio lagunare’ with Roberta Astuti. Finally for the next season the ‘Thursday Stand Up Comedy’. A series of laughter and reflections. Four unmissable appointments where some of the brightest comedians from the Italian scene alternate on the stage of Via San Pasquale. Among them Antonio Ricatti with ‘Sciabadà’; Tiziano La Bella with ‘Boomer’; Laura Formenti with ‘Io mortah live’ and Chiara Becchimanzi with ‘Terapia D’Urto – Dio Patria e Famiglia’.
