Travis Kelce Responds to Rob Gronkowski Discussing Playing with Him and Joking About Being on the Same Team ‘Would be unfair!’

“We would have been one of the best duos to play,” Gronkowski previously said on his “Dudes on Dudes” podcast

Travis Kelce he thinks and Rob Gronkowski would be at strong together.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 35, shared his thoughts on what a team with himself and Gronkowski, 35, would look like after the retired New England Patriots player proposed the idea on his board. Guys on Guys podcast this week.

“I think we would be perfect to both be on the same team,” Gronkowski said of his former teammate Julian Edelman on the podcast.

He further explained that he felt like they “work against each other” with their playing styles, as Kelce can “line up anywhere” and “move to any point on the field at any time,” while he is “too big to to move.”

“We would compliment each other incredibly and I would say we would have been one of the best duos if we had played together,” Gronkowski said. “We would have broken records.”

Not long after the clip was posted to social media, Kelce responded, noting that the idea would be “unfair” to other teams because of the way they played the game.

“Guys…. Same team!?!? Would be unfair!!” he wrote further X. “I imagined sending the ball laterally into the field @RobGronkowski.”

This isn’t the first time Gronkowski has floated the idea that the two professional football players might play on the same team. He split earlier The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy FalloN in January that the two would be ‘impressive’ together on the pitch.

“Imagine if we were teammates on the field, also on the same team. Oh man, that would be pretty impressive,” he told host Fallon at the time, before discussing how those football skills could be turned into dance skills.

“I mean, we’re great dance partners,” the former NFL star continued. “We would dominate like the dance floor.”

Gronkowski, who has broken several NFL players in his own right, is also no stranger to giving Kelce his flowers. On the same show, New England Patriots legend called Kelce a “beast” on the field.

“Travis and Patrick have been presenting to the NFL week in and week out,” he said. “There’s no doubt about that, but there’s one record that I’m still proud of to this day and it’s the record for most touchdowns in one season by a tight end.”

“So if he breaks it, I’ll be really bummed. But he has broken just about every other record so far,” he added at the time.
