Three people injured in Yates County house fire, home deemed uninhabitable

Dresden, NY – Multiple people were injured in a house fire in Yates County late Friday night.

Around 1:26 a.m., emergency crews and firefighters responded to a report of a porch on fire on Main Street, near Charles Street.

Once there, officers found several people injured while escaping the fire.

One woman was flown to Strong Memorial Hospital with burns to her body, while two others were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital and Geneva General with lacerations.

The house was declared uninhabitable.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
