Kentucky driver seriously injured after rollover collision south of Meadville

MEADVILLE, Mo. (KCTV) – A Louisville driver is fighting for his life after a pickup caused a rollover on a highway south of Meadville this weekend.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates that on Saturday, October 26, around 2:20 p.m., emergency services were called to the area of ​​Highway 36 and County Road W south of Meadville on reports of a two-vehicle collision.

When first responders arrived, they said they found Lane A. Alexander, 54, of Louisville, Kentucky, driving his 2023 Jeep Compass east on the highway when Richard L. Frazier, 71, of Chillicothe, the driver of a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado , failed to yield right of way.

State Troopers said the pickup hit the Jeep, pushing it off the road where it overturned.

Emergency officials said although Alexander was wearing a seat belt at the time, he was taken to the hospital Pershing Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His jeep was also declared a total loss.

MSHP noted that Frazier, who was also wearing a seat belt at the time, escaped the crash without injury and was able to drive his pickup truck away from the scene. No further information has been released.
