KC man charged in connection with Instagram post containing deadly threats

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A Kansas City man has been charged in connection with an Instagram post in which he threatened to commit a fatal shooting.

Clay County, Missouri, District Court records filed on Thursday, October 24, show that Kendall L. Wabnum, 21, of Kansas City, was charged with terroristic threats in connection with an Instagram post.

Court documents show that on December 11, 2023, Wabnum threatened his followers to cause a fatal shooting. The comments were made in an attempt to scare at least ten people.

Law enforcement officials noted that Wabnum faces a maximum of seven years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. In addition, he could be fined up to $10,000.

As of Sunday, Wabnum had been released from custody. An arraignment has been set for November 8 at 9 a.m. No further information has been released.
