Prince William publicly mentions Prince Harry for the first time in recent memory while discussing childhood

Despite their continued tensions, Prince William recalled a pivotal memory he recently shared with his brother, Prince Harry, from their childhood in a new documentary about homelessness.

“My mother took me to The Passage; she took Harry and I both there. I must have been eleven, maybe ten, at the time. I had never been to anything like it before and I was a little worried about what to expect .’ the Prince of Wales said in a preview clip of his new ITV documentary called ‘Prince William: We Can End Homelessness.’

In a photo in the documentary, the two boys are seen dressed casually at the homeless charity, smiling at the camera as Harry sits on his mother, on Princess Diana’s lap.

William said Princess Diana made everyone there feel “relaxed and laughing and joking with everyone” in her usual way when they arrived at the centre.

“I remember thinking at the time, ‘Well, whoever doesn’t have a house, they’re all going to be very sad,’ but it was unbelievable how happy the environment was,” he added in the clip.

Things became further tense after Harry and Meghan left England for California in 2020.

He and Meghan had a tell-all conversation with Oprah Winfrey from California in 2021, in which they agreed accusations of racism with an unnamed member of the royal family and visited the institute in the Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan” in 2022.

Last year he published the memoir ‘Spare’, in which he accused William, among other things to physically attack him in an argument about Meghan at his London home in 2019, after he and Meghan married.

Recently also William and Harry seemed to avoid each other at the memorial service for their mother’s brother-in-law, Lord Robert Fellowes, in August.

The brothers “kept their distance” at the memorial, the Sun reported.

In June, Harry turned down an invitation to the wedding of Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster in northern England, because William was present, a royal expert told Fox News Digital at the time.

“Even if Harry were to show up and sneak into the back row, there would be enough press coverage and general hysteria over the presence of the two brothers in the same room to completely overshadow the wedding,” explains Christopher Andersen, author of ‘The King’, out.

Harry flew back to London in February for a short visit to his father after King Charles’ cancer diagnosis, but did not meet William at the time.

It is believed that the last time the two brothers spoke was in 2022, after Queen Elizabeth died.
