WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The last Sunday in October will feature sunshine and some clouds, somewhat breezy and seasonally mild. An initial warning Monday and Tuesday for increased fire danger, along with possible record highs. The next weather maker is headed our way midweek, with rain expected Wednesday afternoon into the Halloween morning. Cooler on Halloween, which means you’ll want to have a few layers on to stay warm during the early evening hours on Thursday.

In addition, there is a high to potentially very high fire hazard. Partly sunny, breezy and warmer on Monday. Highs in the upper 60s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy and unseasonably warm. The next weather maker will be a cold front heading our way on Wednesday. Wednesday will still be mild, with highs in the upper 60s to low 70s. Keep an umbrella ready for Wednesday afternoon and Wednesday evening as the cold front slowly shifts eastward across the region. The wet weather could last at least all morning on Halloween, with much cooler conditions. Temperatures on Thursday will be in the 40s for most of the day, including the early evening hours before sunset, as many children do some trick-or-treating.
