Two dead after shooting at Tucson Trailhead

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Tucson police are investigating the shooting of two people.

The TPD says officers responded around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning, Oct. 26, to the 3200 block of West 36th Street near the trailhead for reports of a shooting.

Initially, police said they found 20-year-old Freddie Hudson with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Banner University Medical Center in critical condition, but died from his injuries a short time later.

While searching the scene, TPD said officers found a second victim, 20-year-old Jesus Fierro, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives interviewed several people in the area.

Investigators discovered that several people were at the trailhead when gunfire was exchanged.

Detectives are still investigating what happened leading up to the shooting.

There are currently no suspects in custody. Detectives are asking anyone with information about this homicide to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

This remains an ongoing investigation.
