During the Cleethorpes crackdown, cars are seized from nuisance motorists

Uniformed police patrol the area and work with the council’s CCTV officers, who monitor the system and report back to officers in the area.

Action taken during Operation Snap included:

Six traffic violations
Nine warnings under Section 59 Police Reform Act
One seizure of a car under Article 59
One vehicle seizure due to no insurance
Five penalty notices have been issued

Councilor Ron Shepherd, portfolio holder for safer and stronger communities, said the results were “outstanding”.

“The council has a very strong zero-tolerance policy towards lawbreakers and this is the embodiment of that in practice. If you are found to be disrupting the community in any way, you will be reprimanded.”
