Man killed in collision in Skokie on North Crawford Avenue identified as Alfred Slivo

SKOKIE, Ill. (WLS) — The identity of a pedestrian killed in a collision in north suburban Skokie was released Sunday.

The crash happened near North Crawford Avenue and Kirk Street around 3:50 p.m., police said.

A man was crossing the street when he was struck by a vehicle traveling on Crawford, police said. He died as a result of the crash.

The vehicle fled the scene after the accident. It was a dark-colored vehicle, Skokie police said.

The victim has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office as 78-year-old Alfred Slivo of Skokie.
