Teen hits woman and steals her car in Syracuse

Syracuse, NY – A teenage boy hit a woman and stole her vehicle in Syracuse on Sunday, police said.

Around 2:06 p.m., a woman called 911 to report her vehicle had been stolen from Lea Lane, according to Sgt. Thomas Blake, a spokesman for the Syracuse Police Department.

When officers arrived, the woman told police she was getting items from the trunk of her car when she was approached by a teenager, who punched her in the face and pushed her to the ground, Blake said. The teen then stole her car, he said.
