1 dead, 3 injured in Mckees Rocks shooting

A shooting that left one dead and three others injured in McKees Rocks on Saturday is under investigation by Allegheny County police.

The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit responded to a request for assistance in McKees Rocks following reports of a shooting in the 800 block of Ridge Way at approximately 5:30 p.m.

First responders located an adult male and an adult female victim and transported them to area hospitals, where the male victim was pronounced deceased. The female victim is in critical condition.

Police said a third victim was shot in the hand and treated at the scene. A fourth victim arrived at a local hospital and was shot in the chest. This victim is currently in stable condition.

None of the people involved were identified.

“Detectives are starting an investigation,” provincial police said in a news release on Sunday. “Preliminary information indicates the shooting occurred outdoors and investigators believe at least two shooters were involved.”

Authorities are asking anyone with information to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
