Woman arrested after fatal shooting of man

ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) – A woman was arrested following a fatal shooting on the 1400 block of Guildhall Ave NW on Sunday, October 27.

Roanoke police responded at 1:14 a.m. to reports of a domestic disturbance in progress. While officers were en route, the call escalated to a gunshot wound, according to Roanoke police.

One man was pronounced dead upon arrival, according to police.

According to police, the suspect ran off but was caught and arrested.

The suspect, Elexus Allen, was charged with manslaughter and is being held without bond at the Roanoke City Adult Detention Center.

This incident is still under investigation.
