Woman accused of throwing dog off two-story balcony, police say

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman was charged with animal cruelty after she was accused of throwing a dog off a two-story balcony, according to an arrest affidavit.

The woman, 21-year-old Keosha Glenn, asked two victims if she could stay with them for the night.

The victims told police they initially agreed, but after speaking with property management they said they could not have guests stay with them.

They did allow Glenn to leave her things for safekeeping and pick them up the next day.

The next day, October 14, Glenn and six other people showed up at the victim’s home and allegedly started banging on the door.

When one of the victims opened the door, Glenn pushed his way in and pushed one of the victims, causing them to fall to the ground, the report said.

Glenn then allegedly pepper-sprayed the other victim and struck her, police said. Six other people began hitting and kicking the woman, according to the statement.

Glenn grabbed her things and started walking outside. Before leaving, police said Glenn grabbed the victim’s dog and threw it off the two-story balcony, breaking the dog’s legs.

Glenn fled the scene in a city bus. Witnesses were able to obtain photos of her and compared them to the photos that the victims had of Glenn.

Police arrested Glenn on October 24 and charged her with animal cruelty, aggravated burglary and assault.
