Jayden Daniels’ game status is updated with the list of inactive commanders

The Washington Commanders got a huge Jayden Daniels update ahead of their kickoff for a battle against No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears.

After getting injured a week ago and missing two practices all week, Daniels will be active against the Bears as the No. 2 overall selection could face the quarterback and the only player drafted ahead of him in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Daniels and the commanders were very cautious about the situation.

“Obviously, they wouldn’t put me in a position where they wouldn’t feel comfortable,” Daniels said. “I don’t want to put myself in that predicament for my future either.”

The team was confident and willing to play with backup quarterback Marcus Mariota if necessary, but Daniels returns as Washington announced their inactive players for the game. Here’s who will be sidelined:

The team will mainly have to make do without rookie offensive tackle Brandon Coleman, who is dealing with a concussion.
