Interstate 84 closed between Twin Falls and Jerome due to an accident

TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) —Interstate 84 between Jerome and Twin Falls is currently closed due to a major accident.

According to Jerome police, a semi-truck involved in the crash caught fire, sending smoke into the sky that was visible from miles away.

A westbound driver in the left lane drove over a concrete barrier and then flew into eastbound traffic, according to several eyewitnesses.

KMVT is currently on scene and will update this article with more information.

The incident is currently under investigation.
