MINNEAPOLIS – A St. Paul man has been charged with vehicular homicide in the Oct. 23 seven-vehicle crash along an Interstate 94 offramp in Minneapolis that left one person dead and 10 others injured.

The crash happened on the ramp from eastbound I-94 to Lyndale Avenue around 9:15 p.m.

Prosecutors allege 29-year-old Talon Walker drove a Chevrolet Avalanche down the driveway at speeds approaching 100 mph. He allegedly hit two vehicles, which were pushed into others. A total of seven vehicles were involved.

The driver of one of the vehicles that was struck – 26-year-old Natalie Gubbay of Minneapolis – died from her injuries.

Ten people were injured, including Walker and a woman who was in the passenger seat of his vehicle. A 2-year-old boy in another car suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

State troopers reportedly found a half-empty liquor bottle on the driver’s side of Walker’s car.

Walker was hospitalized after the crash and booked into the Hennepin County Jail on October 24.

Prosecutors say Walker previously had his driver’s license revoked.
