1 dead after single-vehicle crash on I-520 on-ramp

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – One person has died after a single vehicle crash on the Gordon Highway on-ramp to I-520.

On Sunday, the Richmond County Coroner’s Office said the vehicle went from the eastbound driveway into the wooded area and then overturned.

According to the coroner’s office, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:30 p.m.

The victim’s name will be released when next of kin are notified.
