Trump thanks New York's Democratic mayor, Eric Adams

Trump offered support to the mayor of New York Eric Adamswho was indicted this year by the federal Justice Department on bribery and corruption charges.

Trump has suggested Adams was targeted by President Joe Biden’s Justice Department for speaking out about the border crisis that has caused a flood of immigrants into New York City.

Trump thanked Adams for refusing to call Trump a dictator in front of the crowd at Madison Square Garden.

‘Do you know who I want to thank? Mayor Adams, because Mayor Adams has been treated pretty badly,” Trump said.

Adams sided with Trump and said he didn’t think Trump was fascist, breaking with Biden and Kamala Harris, who have characterized the Republican candidate as such.

“My answer is no. I know what Hitler did and I know what a fascist regime looks like,” Adams said.
