Uptown New Orleans spots welcomed Taylor Swift fans in style | Taylor Swift

Just outside the beloved Skeleton Househundreds of visitors gathered to take photos with the giant skeleton of the “Terror Swift” at the corner of St. Charles Avenue and State Street. A fan from Michigan who said she totaled her car on the way to Crescent City but still found a way to get here, said she and a friend found the place on Facebook.

The fan, named Natalie, said she felt overwhelming New Orleans hospitality and was pleasantly surprised to see how many businesses were decorated this weekend.

Uptown was busier than ever during Taylor Swift weekend and their album-inspired outfits made it easy to spot who was here for the Eras Tour. Huge swarms of Swifties crossing St. Charles Avenue often blocked traffic as they walked along Magazine Street to see some of the more decked out storefronts.

Stoney Clover Lane, a line of travel accessories founded by Tulane grads, is already Swift-coded with its pink facade and flowery details. But after Swift’s arrival, the magazine store became a destination for those in town for the tour.

Strings of friendship bracelets covered the storefront, while heart signs and disco ball decorations covered the bushes.

“We’ve had the opportunity to do this at our other retail locations where the tour has been, but nowhere is there a reason to celebrate like there is in New Orleans,” said Kendall and Libby Glazer, co-founders of Stoney Clover Lane.

“Our store has been busy from open to close, with a line of people coming by to shop, make friendship bracelets, sing karaoke and take photos.”

Other places, like the Bead Shop, also decorated signs to attract visitors looking for some Swiftie fun.

Even high-end restaurants like Saba are getting in on the action, offering themed cocktails like the ‘Lavender Haze’.

Walking past the various storefronts on Sunday, visitors could still hear the various Swift songs coming from the speakers, even as the weekend crowds began to thin.
