‘Airplane incident’ leads to heavy law enforcement presence in Jessamine County

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) – Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a reported aircraft incident in Nicholasville in the area of ​​Connie Way and Ashgrove Road.

Jessamine County Emergency Management told FOX 56 the intersection was blocked around 7 p.m. Sunday as police worked to clear debris and ensure it was safe for traffic. Officials said the road has reopened.

The Jessamine County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook that state and federal authorities “are aware of and are investigating an incident involving a single-powered parachute aircraft in the area of ​​Ashgrove Road. We advise members of the public traveling through Ashgrove to seek alternative travel routes for the next 24 hours.”
