One arrested in aggravated kidnapping and assault case, APD reports

ALEXANDRIA, La. (KALB) – Alexandria police reported that one person was arrested on October 26 and charged with aggravated kidnapping, domestic violence and assault with a firearm.

Authorities said they responded to an incident of alleged kidnapping and assault around 9:40 a.m. Saturday.

They said one victim was forcibly taken to an Alexandria motel by Kemo Nelson.

The victim was reportedly punched and hit with an object during the encounter, but they refused medical treatment.

Detectives began an investigation and obtained an arrest warrant for Nelson. APD reported that its Crime Suppression Team acted quickly, located Nelson and arrested them without delay.

An investigation is still ongoing.
