Stellantis has announced the establishment of a regional parts hub in Malaysia. The automaker describes the new hub as a crucial part of its broader strategy to deepen localization efforts and strengthen its long-term presence in the India and Asia Pacific region, including Malaysia.

“The India and Asia Pacific region is the third growth driver for Stellantis, and the regional parts hub is expected to become a key asset in our regional supply chain strategy. This investment supports Stellantis’ long-term commitment to strengthening our footprint and growth, not only in the region, but more importantly, by contributing to strengthening Malaysia’s position as a regional automotive hub,” said Daniel Gonzalez, COO of Stellantis ASEAN.

“We are here to stay and are committed to improving customer experience, service delivery and operational efficiency with this new hub that will serve both Malaysia and the wider region,” he added.

The regional parts hub, which will be operational in the first quarter of 2025, is designed to meet growing demand from around 20 countries in the region, including host country Malaysia. It will house parts and components from all Stellantis brands including Citroen, Alfa Romeo, Jeep, RAM, Leapmotor and Peugeot. The latter two brands are currently sold in Malaysia.

This facility is part of Stellantis’ strategy to improve after-sales service by reducing downtime and ensuring efficient access and availability of automotive parts and components for dealers and customers.

“This regional warehouse, which is strategically located in a free trade zone in Malaysia, will enable us to improve parts availability, shorten lead time and improve overall service efficiency. It will also enable us to quickly respond to the growing needs of our customers while ensuring they receive the highest level of after-sales support,” said Olivier Torchet, head of parts and services, Stellantis India & Asia Pacific.

Since 2021, Stellantis has been building the foundation of a ‘Built in ASEAN for ASEAN’ roadmap in Malaysia. It started with the 100% takeover of the ex-Naza Gurun factory in Kedahwhich will be maximized as a regional manufacturing hub for both domestic and export markets in ASEAN. In March this year, Stellantis Malaysia was founded as the official entity that directs and manages the marketing, sales, distribution and after-sales of all Stellantis brands in Malaysia.
