Hyundai RN24 N Division Concept Release Information

Hyundai RN24 N Division Concept Release Information

HyundaiThe high-performance N division has just introduced the RN24, a ‘Rolling Lab’ concept, on N Day 2024, showcasing the brand’s vision for the next generation of high-performance electric vehicles.EVs). This concept builds on Hyundai’s established values IONIQ 5 N platform, combining the dual engine system with a World Rally Championship-inspired compact chassis designed to maximize agility and control.

The RN24 reflects Hyundai N’s philosophy of bringing motorsport-quality technology to the road, rooted in three core principles: ‘Corner Rascal’, ‘Racetrack Capability’ and ‘Everyday Sportscar’. Unlike traditional EV concepts, the RN24 prioritizes a lightweight, compact design, enhanced by a 640 hp electronic system sourced from the IONIQ 5 N, but mounted in a shortened wheelbase similar to that of the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 Hybrid from the B segment.

Equipped with a rally-inspired suspension and advanced drive control systems, the RN24 allows drivers to adjust performance characteristics directly from the steering wheel – features similar to Hyundai’s rally models. The compact chassis is stabilized by an exposed roll cage and 3D printed structural reinforcements, maintaining lightweight durability and improving stability. In addition, the car’s design includes a unique sound system, which uses side speakers and a rear fender that acts as a sound box, creating a soundtrack to match its performance.

At the time of writing, Hyundai hasn’t shared any extensive plans for the RN24, but we expect to see more of it soon.
