Man killed in motorcycle crash after cow wandered onto Upper Marlboro, Maryland Road

A man is dead after a crash involving two motorcycles and a cow on Ritchie Marlboro Road in Prince George’s County.

Police said around midnight Sunday that Justin Crosby, 24, and another motorcyclist were traveling along northbound Ritchie Marlboro Road in Upper Marlboro when the other motorcycle struck a random cow in the roadway. Crosby was able to avoid the cow, but unfortunately lost control of his bike and got stuck in a guard rail.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Crosby on the side of the road with serious injuries, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The second rider who hit the cow suffered non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the cow died in the accident.

It is still unknown who owns the cow and how it ended up on the roadway.
