Voters in Cullman County will decide on a 15 percent sales tax on medical marijuana

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WAF) – Cullman County voters will make their voices heard at the ballot box next week when it comes to medical marijuana.

Cullman voters will pass a local amendment calling for a 15 percent sales tax on medical cannabis sales.

The local amendment will be voted on next week.

Voters are being asked to decide on the local amendment, more than three years after the Legislature approved medical marijuana. which is being held up by lawsuits over the licensing process.
