Horry County Police K9 finds suspect lying in ditch after motorcycle chase

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A Conway man is accused of leading police on a motorcycle chase into the Myrtle Beach city limits.

A police report shows that Horry County police officers attempted to stop 31-year-old Tyler Jackson on his motorcycle for speeding in the area of ​​Robert Grissom Parkway and Pine Island Road on Friday evening.

Police said Jackson refused to stop and led them on a chase into the city of Myrtle Beach and along a dirt path.

The suspect lost control of his motorcycle and fell, but ran away.

According to the report, a K9 was brought in to help officers find Jackson.

Police said Jackson was found in the woods, lying in a ditch.

Officers arrested Jackson and he is charged with failure to stop for blue lights and drug possession.

He is currently being held at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center under a $55,000 bond.
