New York man kidnapped and sexually assaulted multiple times, police say

A New York man has been charged multiple times with kidnapping and sexually abusing another adult, authorities said.

Miguel A. Chimbo-Orellana, 37, of Queens, was arrested last Monday following an investigation into the reported actions, the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office said in a news release.

He is charged with kidnapping, assault, witness tampering, criminal restraint, terroristic threats and contempt of court.

The person reported being kidnapped and sexually assaulted multiple times in both the city of Englewood and Queens, officials said. The victim also alleged that Chimbo-Orellana threatened to kill them, prosecutors said.

Chimbo-Orellana was in Englewood last Monday when he was stopped by detectives.

He is now in custody at the Bergen County Jail awaiting his first court appearance.
