The man died after being struck by a car that left the scene, police said

A pedestrian was killed in a collision in South Jersey last week, and as of Monday, police said they were still looking for the driver who left him for dead.

The 58-year-old man, who was not identified, was hit in Hammonton near the intersection of South White Horse Pike and Lakeview Avenue on Oct. 25 around 7:20 p.m., according to a statement from Hammonton police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The car last seen at the scene was a white 2014 BMW 328, four-door sedan, with damage to the front end, specifically to one of the headlights or fog lights, investigators said. The car was last seen traveling east on White Horse Pike.

Anyone with information about the crash or who saw a vehicle matching the description was asked to contact the department.
