From the preseason until the 42–10 season finale victory against Avon Lake, Avon was the No. 1 team every week. … North Ridgeville handed Amherst its fourth loss of the season in a 26-7 win. … Olmsted Falls rebounded to defeat Midview 31-10. … Lorain beating Maple Heights 34-32 gave the Titans the Lake Erie League championship. … Keystone’s two wins against Clearview (7-6) and Oberlin (34-0) pushed the Wildcats to the highest spot they’ve had all season. … North Olmsted enters the postseason with five wins in its last six games. … Bay was coming off a 35-21 loss to Rocky River, knocking the Pirates out of the top 10. … After Vermilion won the final game of the regular season, 26-12, against Bellevue (2-8), the Sailors again moved into the top 10 to replace Midview.
