School district investigates coaching video

KNOX COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) – Knox County Schools administrators are investigating a video posted to social media that allegedly shows a coach using explicit language while talking to players in a locker room.

Knox County’s high school coach has not been officially identified.

Director of Communications Frank Shelton told WYMT: “We are committed to a thorough review and will take appropriate action.”

“Knox County Public Schools has been made aware of and is investigating allegations of improper sportsmanship involving a coach and team members. As this is a pending personnel matter, we are unable to comment further. We want to assure parents that we are committed to a thorough review and will take the necessary steps to maintain high standards of our athletics programs.”
