Putnam man arrested for sexually assaulting 5-year-old 10 years earlier

PUTNAM, Conn. (WFSB) – A Putnam man has been arrested for sexually assaulting a 5-year-old child 10 years ago.

Police say they launched an investigation in July after the assault was reported.

Today, 27-year-old Thomas Cosman turned himself in to Plainfield police.

He was arrested and charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of sexual contact with a victim under the age of 13.

Cosman was held on $150,000 bond and awaits arraignment.
