City announces .1 million in repairs to river trails in Redding

The paving part of a One million dollar repair project will take place this week along the Sacramento River Trail in Redding.

Between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m., Tuesday through Thursday, Oct. 29-31, crews will pave portions of the trail from Harlan Drive to the Stress Ribbon Bridge on the north side of the Sacramento River, and then from the Stress Ribbon Bridge to the Middle Creek Bridge on the south side.

During this time, the trail will be closed to the public and signage will be placed at affected trails. The municipality advises all residents who want to use the route to avoid this area from Tuesday to Thursday this week.
