Terror hits Balochistan: five killed at Panjgur dam under construction

An attack by unknown assailants on a dam under construction in Prome area of Panjgur district.

According to Balochistan levies – a paramilitary gendarmerie – five people were killed in the shooting incident as attackers managed to escape from the under-construction site.

“Troops cordoned off the area and began searching for the attackers,” the report said.

In August, areas stopped a convoy of vehicles coming from Punjab, including a passenger bus, and killed 23 people in the firing incident that took place in Rarasham area of Tingri tehsil, 72 kilometers from Musa Khel district of Balochistan.

The suspect stopped the vehicles on the national highway and shot at the passengers in the same old pattern in which several workers were shot in previous incidents in the Southwestern Province.

A heavy contingent of Levies and police reached the spot. Balochistan Levies officials said the dead bodies of the passengers were then shifted to the hospital and then to their native towns in Punjab where they were buried peacefully amid the presence of thousands of mourners.
