Police make an appeal after motorcyclist died in accident in Sinope

Police have launched an appeal after a motorcyclist was killed in a crash on the A511 in Leicestershire.

Officers were called to a stretch of road at Sinope, near the junction with Alton Hill, at 10:15pm GMT on Monday, Leicestershire Police said.

A gray Hyundai i10 and an orange KTM 125 Duke motorcycle collided, causing the car to leave the roadway, police said.

The rider of the motorcycle, a man in his 20s, died at the scene, while the driver of the car, a woman in her 40s, was taken to hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
