Denis Sadikovic, who was murdered in prison, was serving a sentence for rape

Denis Sadiković (35) from Sarajevo, who was serving a sentence for raping a girl, was murdered on Saturday in Mostar prison, Klix.ba has learned.

While sitting on the toilet, another prisoner stabbed him in the neck with the initials A. Š. (37) from Mostar.

Sadiković was taken by ambulance to CUM Mostar, where he died from his injuries.

In a 2021 judgment of the Sarajevo Subdistrict Court, Sadiković was sentenced to three years and six months in prison for the rape and unlawful deprivation of liberty of his girlfriend M. Š.

After the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina partially accepted the appeal of the Public Prosecution Service, the judgment of the Subdistrict Court in Sarajevo was changed in the criminal decision.

For example, Sadiković was sentenced to four years in prison for the offense of rape, and to six months of unlawful deprivation of liberty for the offense.
