Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of sexually abusing minors in two new lawsuits

Two more sexual abuse lawsuits were filed against Sean “Diddy” Combs this week, with both accusing the billionaire of grooming, sexual misconduct and retaliation threats that occurred when the plaintiffs were minors. These two lawsuits are separate filings, but both allege that Combs abused his power and influence by coercing minors into sexual activity by promising them stardom in the music industry.

These lawsuits add to the flurry of more than two dozen civil cases filed against the music and media giant in the past year and to Combs’ pending federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, but are notable because they make the youngest of Combs’ alleged victims be so far. .

In the first lawsuit, a John Doe plaintiff accuses Combs of assaulting him at a New York City hotel in 2005 when the plaintiff was just 10 years old. The unnamed accuser, who currently lives in California, claims that he then dreamed of becoming a rapper and/or actor. His parents hired a career counselor to help him, who suggested he fly to New York to meet industry power players like Combs. According to the filing, when the accuser arrived, the consultant arranged to audition for Combs in a New York hotel room. During the meeting, the accuser was left alone with Combs and after performing a few rap songs, Combs said he could “make him a star.” The plaintiff was given soda and began to feel dizzy after drinking it. The prosecutor believes the drink was laced with drugs, “including but not limited to GHB and/or ecstasy.”

Once Doe felt unsteady, the complaint states Combs pushed the boy onto the bed in the hotel room. Combs then pulled his penis out of his pants and told the 10-year-old to “kiss” it before pushing it into the boy’s mouth. The boy fainted from shock and fear. When the prosecutor regained consciousness, Combs was still in the room and the boy’s “pants were undone and his anus and buttocks were very sore.” Combs told the plaintiff that he would hurt his parents if he told anyone what happened. The file states that the accuser did so shortly afterwards, but the family was so afraid of the consequences of reporting Combs at the time that they did not come forward.

In the separate filing, a victim of John Doe claims he was 17 years old when Combs repeatedly sexually assaulted him during a series of encounters. In or around 2008, the boy took part in a three-day audition for Diddy’s hit MTV competition series, Making the tape. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff saw the opportunity online and through newspaper advertisements and believed this was his chance to break into the music industry. During the audition process, the plaintiff reached a stage where the contestants met individually in private rooms with Combs and his bodyguard.

During his first one-on-one interview with Combs, the accuser states that the mogul began asking him hypothetical questions about responding to sexual pressure. While asking John Doe questions, Combs began fondling and masturbating the plaintiff’s genitals. “Combs emphasized his power to control Plaintiff’s future in the music industry, stating that he had the ability to make or break his career,” the lawsuit states. During another interview with Combs, the accuser was told to strip naked and prove that he could be a “sex idol” within the band. Combs then allegedly forced the 17-year-old boy to perform oral sex and sodomized him. During a third encounter, Combs allegedly introduced the plaintiff to his bodyguard, named “T,” and forced the boy to also perform oral sex on “T.” According to the lawsuit, “Combs has interpreted this as a test of Plaintiff’s willingness to do whatever it takes to succeed in the music industry.” When the prosecutor hesitated, Combs said he wasn’t trustworthy. Shortly after performing oral sex on the bodyguard, the accuser claims he was eliminated from the audition process and unable to enter the music industry for years.

These latest cases were filed in the New York Supreme Court by the law firm Tony Buzbee – the same Texas-based firm that made headlines last month by announcing they would represent more than 100 alleged victims against Combs.

In response to these latest lawsuits, Combs, through his attorneys, claims he has never sexually abused or trafficked anyone – “male or female, adult or minor.” Combs’ legal team further claimed that “the attorney behind this lawsuit is more interested in media attention than the truth, as evident by his continued press appearances and 1-800 number,” and stated that they have full confidence in proving their client’s innocence. through the judicial process.
