However, when Anna Tollison paid $7.61 for a Steak & Cheese sandwich, she got much less meat than advertised.

In reality according to several photos in the complaintthe fast food chain’s sandwiches are much more bread than filling.

Based on Tollison’s experiences, she believes the fast-food giant’s ads are “extremely misleading.”

The lawsuit said the alleged distortion is “particularly concerning now that inflation, food and prices are very high.”

Tollison is seeking unspecified damages for New Yorkers who purchased the Steak & Cheese sandwiches within the past three years.

Tollison’s attorney said the case is “an egregious example of the type of advertising we are trying to stop.”

Similar lawsuits have been filed against McDonald’s and Wendy’s, but were dismissed. Reuters reported this.

Subway has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
