Hit-and-Run Incident Leaves Man Seriously Injured

Utica, NY – Utica police and fire units responded to a crash involving a car and a pedestrian early Sunday morning. The accident happened at the intersection of South St and Genesee St around 2:30 am.

Upon arrival, emergency responders found an injured man lying on the road with multiple injuries. The victim was taken to Wynn Hospital and later transferred to a hospital in Syracuse due to the severity of his injuries. He is still in critical condition; updates on his status will be provided as they become available.

Utica Police are working to identify the suspect and the vehicle involved from surveillance footage. The suspected vehicle is believed to be a red or maroon sedan with front-end damage.
