Two dead in shooting last weekend in Union Springs

UNION Springs, Ala. (W.S.F.A) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is investigating a fatal shooting in Union Springs.

ALEA says the State Bureau of Investigation launched an investigation into the death at the request of Union Springs police.

SBI special agents were called to the 300 block of Waugh Street in Union Springs on Saturday around 3 p.m. They say they found one victim who was pronounced dead at the scene. ALEA identified him as Adrian Tarver, 19, of Auburn.

ALEA says another victim was taken to Bullock County Hospital where he died from his injuries. He was identified as David Benton, 19, of Union Springs.

ALEA says three other people were also injured and taken to a local hospital.

No arrests have been announced and no other information has been released as per the ongoing investigation.
