Woman dead after crash in Harrison County

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Police say a woman died after a crash in Harrison County on Monday, October 21.

A Harrison County sheriff’s deputy responded to a rear-end collision involving a truck and a car on Highway 64 in New Salisbury, IN around 8:20 p.m., according to the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office.

The driver of the truck was not injured, but the driver of the car was seriously injured and received CPR from firefighters on scene before being transported to Harrison County Hospital. She was then airlifted to UofL Hospital, where she later died from her injuries, officials said.

The woman was identified as Vicki Trowbridge of New Salisbury.

The crash is under investigation pending the findings of the reconstruction.
