“He says, ‘I can’t even believe this.’ I came across this man by chance. We were talking about an item I had that he was really interested in. I told him, I don’t really have time to look for it, it’s in our attic. I’m leaving on Wednesday for two weeks,” Calhoun told Storyful.

Once inside, Quilaton allegedly searched in the attic for the item “and fell through the attic into my garage, leaving a giant hole in the ceiling and a mess,” she said.

“So there’s a huge lesson in there for everyone listening. Just don’t tell anyone you’re leaving town,” Calhoun begged.

When Quilaton was arrested, he offered officers $100 to let him go — which earned him a bribery charge in addition to his charges of burglary and criminal mischief, according to court documents reviewed by Fox59.
