Police investigate murder after woman’s body is found in bag

Police are investigating a murder incident after a woman’s body was found in a bag in Utawala.

The body of the 34-year-old woman was left in a bush

Police said the woman was identified as Jennifer Mutheu Nzula.

Police said the body was stuffed in a bag and tied with a laundry cover at the edge of the bush along Githuguri Road in the area.

The body had no visible injuries when it was discovered on Monday, October 28.

The motive for the killing has yet to be determined, police said.

The body was taken to the mortuary pending autopsy and examination.

Police suspect that the woman was murdered elsewhere and that the body was dumped at the scene.

The hunt for the possible killers is ongoing, investigators said.

In Kipipiri, Nyandarua, human remains were recovered from a farm.

Workers on land owned by Maleshani Limited, which covers approximately 139 hectares, reported that while plowing some unused land near the Lereshwa River, they found human remains believed to be that of an adult.

The bones include ribs, vertebrae and limbs.

Police officers visited the crime scene and processed the remains which were collected and taken to JM Kariuki Hospital Mortuary pending pathologist and identification process.

Meanwhile, a security guard manning an apartment in Kilimani area, Nairobi, was found drowned in a swimming pool.

Christopher Juma, 42, was on night shift with his colleague at the said apartments when he drowned.

A co-worker told police they split up around midnight Monday to take care of the backyard.

Later his body was discovered in the swimming pool.

Police officers arrived on the scene and found the lifeless body floating in the pool.

The body was retrieved and taken to the city morgue pending autopsy and other investigations.

A human body was found floating in the Nairobi River in Kamkunji area, Nairobi.

Police went to the scene and found the body of a middle-aged man.

The body was identified as that of one of Mutiria John Njagi, 31.

An identity card and a mobile phone were recovered from his pockets.

The body was taken to the mortuary pending autopsy and examination.

No arrests have been made so far and police say an investigation is underway.
