The driver took action after the accident

Indore:

A 14-year-old girl and a 21-year-old woman were seriously injured after a car driven by a teenager ran over them as they were making rangolis outside their homes in Madhya Pradesh’s Indore, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday before the festival Diwaliwas captured on camera footage.

According to police, a 17-year-old driver has been arrested.

The video shows them making rangoli when the speeding car suddenly rams into them and hits some two-wheelers parked on the roadside.

Seconds earlier, the vehicle almost hit a woman walking on the road.

The suspect, who was riding in the car with a friend, was seen fleeing the scene after the incident.

He was later arrested and the car was also seized.

The victims have been hospitalized and one of them is said to be in critical condition.
