Pellet gun attacks in Gainsborough pose a significant risk

Police are investigating a spate of attacks with BB or pellet guns on homes in Gainsborough.

Officers are appealing for help finding those responsible after eight separate reports of windows being shot.

The incidents took place between October 17 and 28 in the Park Springs Road and Riseholme Road areas.

Inspector Mike Head warned: “There is a significant risk of someone being very seriously injured.”

He added: “We have made it a priority for local teams to investigate and find those responsible.

“A lot of work is being done in the background, including following up on police intelligence and reviewing CCTV and other footage, and we are also carrying out patrols in the area.”
