Woman arrested, charged after shooting in Moniteau County

A woman was arrested for a shooting in California, MO.

On October 29, the Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office arrived at a home in California, MO, in response to a reported shooting.

Officers found a man with gunshot wounds to his thigh and hand.

Officers determined that there had been an argument between the man and Crystal Moore, a woman who was also present in the home.

During the argument, Moore, 50, allegedly shot the man with a handgun.

The Moniteau County Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant and found multiple firearms, ammunition, methamphetamine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

Moore was charged with domestic violence, armed criminal action, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and unlawful use of a weapon.

She was transported to the Moniteau County Jail and her bond was set at $100,000, cash only.
